Fittings and connectors for casters
Fittings and connecting materials are often sold in the Neita webshop for furniture casters, but also for device casters and industrial casters in some cases. For the proper functioning of the casters, we have various connecting materials available.
Depending on the type of caster and the possibilities of connection, the right connection material can be chosen.
Our casters are therefore always supplied without connection material. In our manual we have worked out step-by-step how to select the right connecting material and how to assemble the furniture castor by yourself.

1. Mounting plate
The mounting plate is a fastening plate used with furniture casters. The plate can be attached to the furniture and the pin ensures the attachment to the furniture wheel.
The mounting plate, also called furniture pin with plate, is available in the webshop with a connection size of 8mm or 10mm.
2. Plastic or metal sleeve, furniture sleeve or insertion cap
The plastic or metal sleeve is a commonly used connecting material for furniture casters. Depending on the application, there are many different types of sleeves available. There are round variants and square sleeves. A sleeve is also called a furniture sleeve or an insertion cap.
A plastic sleeve consists of a head and a shaft. Many plastic sleeves have self-clamping fins. This type of sleeve is also called a self-clamping slat cap.
All sleeves, furniture sleeves, insertion caps and self-clamping caps are available in the webshop with a connection size of 8mm or 10mm.
3. Mounting pin, clamping pin or furniture pin
The pin is an indispensable connection material when using a plastic or metal sleeve. The pin fastener, the name says it all, attaches the furniture wheel to the furniture. The clamping rings ensure that the furniture casters are firmly attached and remain so.
Pins are available in the web shop with a connection size of 8mm or 10mm. Pins are also available with a different diameter at the top and bottom. This makes it possible to use furniture wheels that have a different connection size than the connection of the furniture.
4. Threaded pin or furniture pin with thread
The threaded pin, also called furniture pin with thread, is needed to connect furniture wheels when a threaded sleeve is used.
The threaded pin always consists of a threaded top and the bottom of a regular furniture pin. The clamping ring is also present on the underside to firmly attach the pin to the furniture wheel. The top side of the threaded pin always consists of thread.
The top and bottom of the threaded pin are separated by a nut. The threaded pin is available in the webshop with a connection size of 8mm and 10mm.
5. Expander
The expander can be used to fix caster wheels in a square or round tube. Expanders are available in both round and square variants for this purpose.
Expanders are used in combination with castors with a bolt hole. When the wheel is attached to the expander, the whole can be placed into the tube. By now tightening the wheel expander the outer workings will be pushed outwards. The expander will then clamp itself into the tube.
